Fremantle

This narrow South Fremantle lot had some serious restrictions - a heritage listed "ruin" in the rear, and a sewer servitude running through the middle of the property. We addressed these issues by designing a series of north facing "pavilions" with an open alfresco spanning the non-buildable servitude, and the "ruin" being renovated as the rear pavilion. A series of discrete 'outdoor rooms' was created allowing for privacy and interest, and a plunge pool is situated in one of these 'courts'. Materials were to have reflected the ecclectic nature of the area and would consist of limestone, render, iron and timber.
